About
I am a Full Stack Software Engineer. I have worked professionally in software development since 2022, with a primary focus on React and Laravel.
My work combines two kinds of problems that I consider equally important: building new features and systems, and understanding and evolving existing software. I have worked with production applications, API integrations, interfaces used in real operational settings, and legacy systems that require diagnosis before any changes.
How I work with existing systems
In those environments, I learned that development involves more than implementing a feature. Often, the most important work comes first: reconstructing how a system works, identifying constraints, reproducing a problem, and determining the smallest change that can solve it without introducing new regressions.
That brownfield work is part of my experience developing and evolving real software.
My current approach incorporates Git, branches and change reviews where appropriate, testing, continuous integration, documentation, and reproducible validation. I try to apply these practices in proportion to the problem: adding them when they improve safety, traceability, or maintainability, without turning them into unnecessary bureaucracy.
AI-assisted software engineering
I also actively work on AI-assisted software engineering. I am particularly interested in integrating agents and automation into controlled engineering workflows: analysis, specification, testing, review, state management, evidence, and explicit human decisions. The goal is to use automation to expand analytical and execution capacity while retaining technical control, rather than delegating development indiscriminately.
The common thread
I work primarily with React and Laravel. Whatever the technology, I aim to understand what a system needs, make controlled changes, and leave enough evidence to trust the result.
